Hi All,

I have a question where I am given two gates (gate1 and gate2) and I have to use them to make a xor gate out of it.
Please refer the attached image for the truth table of gates.

Having outputs as Z for two gates makes things complex.
It will be really helpful if you can help me find a solution for this.

(Please note: This is not homework, rather an interview question asked to my friend recently)
 

First see how an inverter can be implemented.

With this XOR can be implemented as shown.

hello mr @monsoon
if u connect two wires to a single wire
which input flows into that 3rd wire...

One out of those two wires is Z, which has no effect on whatever it is connected to. So output on third wire is the one which has 0 or 1 value (i.e. other than Z). Got now?
