LM3421 LED driver ic datsheet........page 10, whats the funny , sort of 2 arrow symbol just inside the comp pin mean?

lm3421 datasheet

I think that's a transmission gate, making COMP somehow
modal based on nDIM.

maybe nDIM disconnects the comp pin.....maybe the funny symbol is a switch?

Not a 'funny symbol' - just a standard notation for a transmission gate (analog switch).

Is it the symbol on the pin named "COMP"? If so, it is a bidirectional switch that is used to control the Hysteresis on ht einput called nDIM of the IC. This switch receives inputs from COMP (external input) or from the output of the OpAmp on CSH pin.

if its a switch, then i think its too disconnect the compensation capacitor during PWM dimming off intervlas, so that there is less overshoot when the leds are pwm dimmed back on again?
