hi,
I'm doing layout of a filter on diff paths..
so the components (R, C & L) must be placed symmetrically.

I've done placement on one path and (for symmetry) copied the components & placed them on the other path.
but the problem is i'm not able to map the copied components (symbols) to the original component names on the second path.
how to map/name symbols to components?

No need to copy components....Do placement replicate.....It will help you.....

Hi arbangalore,

You have such option in the version u specified.
Go to placement edit. In the find filter select only symbols.
select all the components that you already have done the grouping(one path) and right click select done. Also follow the instructions in the command window.
It will ask you to pick origin.Select any location. A window will get opened to save the placement replicate file ,give a name and save in your location.
After that select all other components that you want to place as same as you have done manually.
Right click and select placement replicate apply, a window will open. Select the placement replicate file that you already saved.
All will get grouped as you done. Try it. Even you can replicate the routing too...
