Im truying to interface LCD with 16f876 pic. It gives lots of errors about

undefined identifier set_tris_d

I know there is no D port.

how can i get rid of this issue.

my code is here

Answer is there in your program itself,
In LCD.c,
// Un-comment the following define to use port B
// #define use_portb_lcd TRUE

To use port B, use to uncomment this line.

Best wishes :)

You are using CCS C Compiler. LCD.C include should be after defines of LCD controls and DATA pins. define of LCD DATA port is missing. See the code inside LCD.C for the defines of LCD control and data pins. You can modify the pin names but change the pin names you use and put the defines in main.c file.

just uncomment this #define use_portb_lcd TRUE
to use PORT B rather than PORT D that you dont have in your chip and it will work
