Hi

I am trying to simulate CB-CPW on ADS momentum. I am a bit worried about the ground port definition in momentum. Any clue?

Thanks

Slot line are created using slot definition to the layer mapping in substrate editor. Its a negative artwork. your can follow following steps to create your design
1) Create a design negative to your desired design(remember you need to create design of the vacant slots in layout using draw polygon/rectangle option)
2) Now map the layer in substrate as slot.
3) Now View the structure in 3D Viewer, the viewer should show the desired design.

Thanks a lot!

I want also to add that this type of simulation agrees with HFSS if you make sure that the modes are slot e.g. no parallel plate modes

Attached is a snapshot for a simple CPW line. The figure shows the agreement between HFSS and momentum

You can also cross check with ADS FEM, the results would be same.
