can any one state the working of decade counter when ip is given from ic555 and also why is there outputs only at select terminals of the counter for different selections is there any set of rules governing it

if so do post them
 


Hi,

When Clr is pulled low it resets all the f/fs to 0, when running normally / counting and clr is held high and each f/f will count up in sequence.

Have a look at this tutorial, you can use a 555 instead of the 4093 they use for the signal generator.
