thanx

Re: counter 8 bit 74HC590

Hi,

Everything you need is in the datasheet **broken link removed**

Not aware it has an oscillator ? What are you trying to do ?

Re: counter 8 bit 74HC590

hi Mr wp100

"The counter and storage register have
separate positive edge triggered clock (CPC and CPR) inputs
"(from data sheet)

this means that we should use an oscillator

////////////////////////////////////////////////////
about your quest:
I want to count from 0 to 127 during 0.1 sec

thank u

Re: counter 8 bit 74HC590

Hi,

Its difficult to give a definative answer as you only refer to the 74hc590.

It all depends on what your input source is ? are the voltages compatible, what are you doing with the resultant output ?

As you can see from the datasheet the chip needs not just a clock pulse but other control lines as well, what will be creating them ?

Perhaps using a pic micro might be a simpler way that will also allow you to process the pulses further.

thank you very much Mr Wp100

I will see this docs , and give u the result
