I'm a beginner in RTL. Do we need to know deeply in C for RTL design? Are VHDL and Matlab enough? Thx

Re: C skill in RTL design

There's all sorts of avenues and some long-winded answers that could come off of your question...

But personally I would say yes, aim to learn (in this order):

(1) Digital circuit design

(2) VHDL for digital circuit design and for testbenching (separate angles)

(3) Analogue circuit design (you are usually interfacing to an analogue world somewhere)

(4) Matlab if you think it'll be useful for what you are interested in

Good luck :)

I know that I'm too late to answer (more than 1 year :) ). But, thanks a lot !!
