when i try to use PICkit2 to connect the 10f222, but unable to detect, i am using breadboard to program the PIC. is it the pin unable to detect in breadboard? or any other factor, and when i try connect PGD and PGC line together in GP0, it mentioned that is an unsupported part, so wat is the issue above

Have you selected the correct device under Mplab? Also, is the pic being powered separately or by the programmer? If it is being powered separately, you might try to power it through the pickit2 and see if you can detect it then.

This is duplicated post.

Are you sure that you using PICKIT2 ? There is no such version for PICKIT programmers!

PC Software version should be 2.61
Device file for firmware should be 1.62.14

You can download PC software and firmware file from here:

Baseline Devices

PIC10F200*, 202*, 204*, 206*
PIC12F508*, 509*
PIC16F505*
- Above use AC162059 ICD header & AC164110 adapter.

PIC12F510*
PIC16F506*
- Above use AC162070 ICD header & AC164110 adapter

* Devices marked with an asterisk require a device specific ICD header board & the RJ-11 to ICSP Adapter to enable debugging. These are not required for programming.

My friend did you buy that programmer from Del Boy ?

Hi,

As Tpetar has just said the info you are giving us is not something we recognise.

You can program that chip from either the standalone Pk2 program V2.61 show on the left of the picture or directly from Mplab Version V8.8 .

Do you have these ?

Two things you mention, you are using a breadboard, is it new-ish and the contacts clean ? and how long are the wires from the Pk2 output socket to the breadboard ?
You should keep the wires a short as possible, under 6" / 150mm

The other is that your said
when I try connect PGD and PGC line together in GP0,
Did you really mean you connected both PGD and PGC onto the single GP0 pin ?

Hi,

Sorry - had seen the other post but missed your last line about those connections.

Lets hope he has a spare chip just in case ! ;-)

If he does have PK2 V2.61 then at least he can test the lines.
