Suppose if i have a input signal x(t)=e^-t . after some time i delayed my input by 2 unit. Then what will be the new value of x(t)????
Please solve this....I have the big confusion???

the general rule says that a function can be delayed by writing f(t-tau), tau is the delay time in seconds.
in your case, i have to say that the unit is a little confusing since you didn't explain it clearly.
bu i think that x(t) is e^-(t-tau) tau in this case may be the number of units .

best regards,
SH
