What is the relationship between CNR and the modulation scheme used?

Hi,

If you mean by CNR : Carrier to noise ration, we have this relation :

Eb/No = CNR * W/B

with B is baudrate and W is the bandwidth

Using the same baudrate B, the bandwidth change with modulation scheme.

If your question is not about this, please explain more.

Regads,

Thankx ChekerQ...

CNR= Carrier to Nosie ratio,

If the required bit rate is given, then baud rate will change with the modulation scheme. How can I calculate the required bandwidth?

Hi,

First you can see this article. It can help you http://sss-mag.com/ebn0.html

About bandwidth there is different definition. In many cases we use the filter badwidth or canal bandwidth but in digital communication books

we define bandwidth by other definitions. The famous one is null-to-null badwidth. This bandwidth depends on modulation schema :

Take a look to the book : Digital modulation techniques : Fuqin xiong

Chaker
