Hello All

I want to simulate FSS(frequency selective surface) in CST MWS, and till now i design the unit cell, and run frequency solver using floquet mode but the results were terrible8-O
I must confess that, i do this using CST's help example(but with my own cell design) without any understanding!!!
Can anyone help me understand & correct it, step by step in CST?

Thanks a lot

Yes. You have to understood FSS first. You can refer FSS book by Munk. There lot of examples are available. You can familiar with design steps (CST) using help manual. Its very easy.

hi
i wonder what do floquet ports with limited number of defined modes do with higher order modes ! I dont know weather in reflects or absorbs! could you please give me a hand ? :)

There are two ports for FSS. (Zmin and Zmax). During simulation, in the solver settings you can select excitation as All+Floquet. Then by simulation u can get data for Reflection(Ex:SminSmin) and Transmission(Ex:SMinSMax). As FSS is a plane with two sides two ports are enough.
