why transistors are classified according to thier collector emmiter voltage?

hi, am new here
why in datasheets of any transistor the most important thing and it seems that transistors are classified according to Vce?
 

Due to the manufacturing processes, there is a maximum collector-emitter voltage (VCE,max) that the device can withstand without degradation in performance or damage. So there are different classes of transistor that can withstand larger amounts of VCE,max. Higher the VCE,max the more expensive the device becomes.
