Connecting same terminals to different points

Connecting different terminals to power source in same phase

Although it is of electrical, i had a doubt that if i connect a two terminal device on power source having same phase i.e connecting to ac supply of 220v 50hz in same phase.what will happen? Will the device burn out?

Nothing will happen.
Dont you connect different load terminals at home on the mains line in different sockets in the same phase ?
