Could anybody tell me the difference between powermill, power compiler & prime power?

Or to say, when should I choose such a tool(among the three tools) but not the other two?

Thanks a lot!

1) Power Compiler
- Major Funtion: Power Optimization
- Other: Can do RTL power analysis

2) PrimePower
- Gate-level power analysis

3) PowerMill
- Combined into Nanosim
- Transistor-level power analysis
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So,
- if want to do power optimization, then use Power Compiler;
- Use PrimePower to get more accurate result with gate-level netlist;
- Use Nanosim for .....

Hi qjlsy:

P0werC0mpiler can do power Consumption Analysis, Gate-level Power

Optimization, Leakage Power Optimization, RTL Optimization. The manual
