Hi friends,

Please help me:???:
How to convert a 2D line to copper trace in Pads Layout?
Is it possible?

Select the 2D line completely (without leaving any edges or segments ... if any), query the line (CTRL Q) and change the type to Copper and assign a layer.

Thx for your response CKS,
Pls let me know how to convert a 2D line to trace property & is it possible to change the 2D line to trace?

Possible. switch off the DRC, go to ECO mode and add connection from the desired point to this new copper piece (which was earlier a 2-D line). And then come back to routing mode and switch on the DRC, Now this piece of copper (which was earlier a 2-D line) will become a part of partially routed net. And thereby it will acquire all properties of the net.

I switched off the DRC & tried to add connection from a desired point to this new copper piece in eco mode, but its not allowing the net to be connected with the copper piece (which was earlier a 2-D line).
