Hello my name sachin and i m new to antenna world. i want to know that can we take square ground plane for rectangle patch.
 

Yes. For sure you can use a square ground plane for a recntagular patch .why not?

actually i was working on gain and i have designed a model in which i have used a square shaped ground plane on rectangle patch using ie3d.
i m getting the gain of 12.60dbi.
 

ok. a gain of 12.60dBi for one single patch? holy smokes ! are you sure?
