Hi all

I'm totally confused about datasheet spec. of logic threshold voltage as below.

??? 4.jpg

In case of VIH, MIN spec is 2.5V and in case of VIL, MAX spec is 1.2V. and there's no typ. value.

So my question is what does that MIN,MAX means?

For example, If real trip voltage of VIH is 2.32V at measurement, is it spec-in or spec-out?
Really confused about that.

If there's some related articles about that, please let me know.
Thanks in advance.

Although it would be possible to specify a typical transition voltage, it wouldn't have much relevance. A minimum VHI of 2.5V means that although the threshold may be lower with some individual samples of the device, we cannot be certain that the input will be effective as a high state unless it is 2.5V or higher.

Same sense for the low-state input. An input higher than 1.2V, like 1.3V, may or may not be seen by a particular unit as a low-state input. It's only when the input is 1.2V or lower that we can be sure that it will be seen by the device as a low input.
