please help me out with this laptop motherboard soldering issue....

Was trying to clean the board....with flux and soldering iron...and after using the copper soldering wick and the solder suddenly spread over the motherboard and now it won't come off!
i am attaching a picture of poor quality ...couldnt get it better...please give me any hints on how to remove that spread solder!
Tried to heat it up the ir station and use the soldering wick and still it won't come off..its like it penetrated the board somehow. Did the paint fail?

Have i used a too high temperature?
Or too low?
The board was not clean enough...or too cold...

please help me out here to understand why this has happent.

First dont use some copper paste or similar things what is not for soldering in electronics.

Use flux for smd soldering, and cleaning perform with Isopropyl Alchohole.
With this you can also clean this mess.


Also there is flux with no cleaning after soldering.
 

I think i havent made myself understood...

yes i do use flux for smd soldering...and yes i do use 99% pure alchohol for cleaning, the problem is that i have removed the gpu from the board..and when i was trying to clean the board of solder, the solder spread evenly on a certain area....and have tried to use a desoldering wick and still no luck...(flux is all over...have used flux).
 

You didnt read carefully Isopropyl Alchol is not common/plain alchohol. Plain Alchohol cant clean this.

Isopropyl Alchohol is special, and have better cleaning about 50 times.

To prevent spreading of flux dont use liquid flux from bottle or syringe, use pen flux.

Kester 83-1000-0951 No Clean Flux Pen or similar.
 

its not the flux i am worried about here..i will clean the board and show you ...i havent had time as i tried to fixed it last night as was too tired to clean it...flux will clean perfectly with isopropilic alcoholl 99 percent concentration..the problem is with solder! Solder got spread somehow...and wont come off its like it has bond with the motherboard..or paint over it...and i cannot remove it ..not even when applying the desoldering wick...
 

For copper soldering wick you should increase temp and time of heating, if solder is not accepted on wick, also use adequate shape of soldering iron, to get higher temp transfer area. Also try to put some flux on copper soldering wick.

Probably some thin lacquer coating of pcb have something with that.

Sounds as though you tinned an area of board. The main thing is to eliminate any shorts that were created. You need not remove all of it.

Are there solder blobs? Can you hold the board upside down while applying the soldering iron from underneath? Solder will flow down onto the iron.

Where the solder is a thin layer, then you might grind it away with a sharpening stone. A spinning grinding disk can make it easier. A razor blade is another possible tool although it's not easy to scrape and slice solder with it.

i think it may beco'z of overheat. by overheat protective paint remove from copper and solder spread on it. also you have to use good flux with solder wick.

how to work with bga,this may help you.
