Wrong value on digital counter output

As you can see from the image, the display now shows the correct frequency value! I managed to find the problem! :-) It was enough to have a chat with the counters IC who told me how they was reading the wrong values and so, by inverting the outputs of the 4 counters, the problem was solved...

Wrong value on digital counter output

Hi Dana, the project is not cost oriented but have didactical value also for display part that is not shown in this post. It use a multiplexing technique with all simple logic IC. Thank you Klaus for your time. I'm going to verify and modify design issue you have suggested. I'll post news after...

Wrong value on digital counter output

This is value on display with 320khz input sample freq.

Wrong value on digital counter output

    SV7 setting joint pin 2 & 3 - SV6 setting joint pin 1 & 2 with input sample of 320khz, i'll expect 3200 on display

Wrong value on digital counter output

No, it is not the same. The Frequency will be 3.125 and a part of his (positive clock pulse) is the gate aperture time (0,16sec). If you indicate 6.25Hz, positive clock pulse is 0,08Sec. It is not counter main clock. Then 320000 is input sample frequency The range is from some kilohertz to max...

Wrong value on digital counter output

Hi Klaus, thanks for reply. So, Q1 is 10.240Mhz and with this value you can use binary div factor on divider; First div is by 16384 and you obtain 625Hz; Second and third stage div by 100 so you have 6,25Hz. Last stage div by 2 and you have 3,125Hz that is 0,32sec. In this time, only on...

Wrong value on digital counter output

Hi all, i've built a time base board of my discrete frequency counter design. This board, have an issue on counting..... the value is not what it should be. With a 320Khz input signal it is showed 100 on display. Someone can help me to troubleshoot? Thank You.

Chinese Laser Diode Driver fault - Reverse eng. to tune

Hi Tony, thanks for the tips. The problem I had was that the driver, during operation with the laser I indicated to you but in the 3W version, stopped working. Since it was behaving strangely when I tried to adjust the operating voltage and the necessary current, I thought it was time to...

Chinese Laser Diode Driver fault - Reverse eng. to tune

Hi Tony, thank you for suggestion. The circuit would drive a Nichia model NDB7875-E 9mm laser diode. Below the datasheet.

Chinese Laser Diode Driver fault - Reverse eng. to tune

Hi FvM, thank you for error analysis. This one is sch with error correction. 1697371062 Hi Tony, thank you for you support to explain how circuit works. I think two separate block are better than chinese solution.... one that cab regulate maximum output voltage and another one (in series after...

Chinese Laser Diode Driver fault - Reverse eng. to tune

Hi all, i'm going to use the driver shown in attached image and i've a laser fault due to strange driver functionally. So i've decided to do rev.eng. of this driver to know how it work. I've just noted there is no current feedback on power mosfet and the current feedback from opamp is connected...

Digital pot X9C102 terminal voltage problem.

Hi, i've try to add resistors as you have suggested and the circuit works fine. Now i need to make it more sensitive because if there is a 9V battery as load the voltage drop on low value R is small and so the feedback doesn't have best resolution. The working schematics is this:
