Hi Dear All
When i learned the class D amplifier , i was , 16 years old . and the problem was that i tired from dissipative amplifiers such as Class AB and C . ( and all of the times i like learning new things )
So , i read many articles from big companies , such as International Rectifier , and many books that was related to the switching basics such as Professor pressman's book , Professor Marty brown's book , and professor Muhammad Rashid books , and many many RF design books and ...etc . ( high frequencies , are beautiful ).
And after 6 month i got large value of experiences in that field .
one of my interests , is HF transmitter design .
So , i want tell some of advantages and usages of class D amplifier :
1- high efficiency ( i got the efficiency about 90 percent from a differential class D amplifier at AF range )
2- Good frequency response
3- Lowest THD
4- easy to matching with all of the loads
5- easy to design
6- inexpensive
7- compact design
And about applications : Inductive melts / Transmitters /all kind of amplifiers / high power , and high efficiency power supplies and ... etc .
The configurations that are at class D amplifiers are :
Push pull ( it is better for RF systems and inductive melt systems )
Full bridge ( H bridge ) ( it can be used for SMPS , inductive melt / audio amplifier/ RF amplifier / RF modulator /motor speed controlling/ and....etc)
Half Bridge ( it's applications are alike with H bridge , but at some types of half bridge that , can be used for very high powers , we have to use simultaneous power supply .)
Differential class D amplifier ( it can be used for all kind of signal amplifications , and with very low noise and THD , and it is best arrangement of class D family that can be used .
I'll write some things about design steps of class D amplifiers and SPWM and PWM basics as soon as possible .
By the way , i learned a big thing from my projects :
Mistakes can improve and increase our knowledges and we should not be chill for lose ! the loses are best professors that you can't find such as them entire of the world .
Good luck for all
