you can use a Willem programer with an adaptor for AT89Cxx. It works fine and it is not expensive!

Hi all,

try AEC Electronics. It can program AT89S51/52/53 and AT89S8252 micros via parallel port and very simple to build, using only few resistors.

Try SmartPro S51

If you are looking for USB programmer for 89S51 then try SmartPro S51. It supports some other variants as well as SPi Eeprom chips.
