It is a design of simple AVR programmer using port RS232. This construction has the following advantages: low price of the easy available components, ready made bases on the PCB of the device, into which the microprocessor can be directly inserted. It is also possible to program the most popular microprocessors such as Attiny2313 and Atmega8. The programmer is also equipped with ISP output that provides the opportunity of connecting the microprocessor which has another layout of pins necessary for programming than in used bases.

The device operates stable and is easy in assembly. It can be performed by a beginner electronic.

Attachment to the original thread includes PDF with schematic, model of the board and assembly drawing.

The PCB was made in thermal transfer method. The rectifier diodes were not used, instead of them there are jumpers, because they are powered from the DC power supply 12V. You can use program such as Pony Prog V207a for support.
