Hello Guys,
I’m planning to measure the phase noise of one oscillator using an spectrum analyzer with phase noise capabilities. In order to isolate the VCO and the analyzer, I’m going to use a source follow, as described by the figure below. I’m going to measure it directly on wafer (not packaged).
What do you think about this measurement setup? Is there anything wrong? Could I connect together: current source + spectrum analyzer + probe station? Is there any issue related to it? For instance, the noise coming from the current source?
