General application is giving high-voltage pulses from time to time, which is to „scare” a cow from the fence. HV transformer was obtained from an old energizer as well as the housing. The circuit was soldered on a piece of the universal board.
The principle is simple (diagram below) – generator built of a Schmitt triger that provides the rectangular pulses that are differentiating on the capacitor and potentiometer which gives short pulses at the output of another flip of adjustable length which activates the MOSFET, which in turn causes the current pulse on the transformer's winding. Additionally, there is a third flip that causes the LED blink (providing information about the operation of the energizer).
The coil is transformer's winding. LM7812 stabilizer is added.
