Please advice

Is it at89c52 or phillips P89v51rd2??
look at this threads and follow down to my post.. : https://www.edaboard.com/threads/237939/

and for your schematics, you can use this, if you have pre programmed microcontroller(8051 written in this picture), this 8051 will program your target microcontroller : EZ_ISP3.png

Good Luck

Thanks again and again

Does this at89c52 work in master- slave mode only . I've been trying to program it like at89s52 but it doesn't work at all.

AT89C52 dont have ISP. It can only be programmed with parallel programmer.

Hello,
You cannot use at89s52 programmer to burn at89c51, as at89c52 is older series and it supports parallel programming only.. though at89s52 can be programmed easily and it requires only few pins(MOSI,MISO,SCLK,RESET)..
Here is the circuit for at89C52(Look at attachment Proload 5.4) :
And,
For at89S52 You can use(EZ_ISP Programmer) :

You need a pre-programmed microcontroller(that contains firmare hex file)..

I dont have a preprogrammed mcu . I'm just doing my first programming. Can i just program it using UART of the mcu or is it necessary to have a preprogrammed mcu to program another one!

For above programmer circuit, No you cannot program it without using firmware chip..
You need a different Circuit to program it using parallel port of your computer...
Here is the link: **broken link removed**

Or switch to P89v51rd2(they are easy to program).. search the forum for related posts.
