what does cascade mean circuit

Guyz..
What do u mean by cascade circuit?

what do cascade mean

Hi,
Cascade normally means you repeat the previously used component. It is normal in case of amplifiers,.
B R M

cascade circuit

it means in series of the path or signals.
like cascaded ampr stages (one after another)

Cascade connection means that two or more stages are connected together in a way that output of previous stage is connected to input of next stage and so on.

Cascading is nothing but connection of two circuit elements in a series fashion. This is not only restricted to Opamps but is also used for many other circuit elements mailny for active elements.

There are three main configurations:
1.)Cascade
2.)Cascode
3.)Buffer configuration

cascade basically means "combine"

i've seen alot in filters :D

cheers

Just plain:

cascade
Etymology: from Italian cascata, from cascare to fall, one of a series
a : something arranged or occurring in a series or in a succession of stages so that each stage derives from or acts upon the product of the preceding.

Cascede in multiprocessor design means a strucure that
looks like stairs or a waterfall and works somwhow in series.
