Sound Lab Mini-Synth – a small analog synthesizer

It is a great project for beginners, who want to become familiar with wonderful world of analog sound synthesis.

Construction
The synthesizer consists of:
  • 2 voltage controlled generators
  • waveform generator
  • envelope generator Attack-Decay
  • low band pass filter voltage controlled
  • mixer
From the back of the device there are two inputs of voltages tuning the generators, input of the “gate” signal for the envelope generator and line output. The whole is powered by two 9V batteries.
The device barely fits a standard Z-33A housing. Main problem was connected with the front panel. A total of 48 holes were drilled and about 15m cable was used. Description of the panel was made in InkScape, printed and laminated.
