Are ground (GND) same as -V know as Vee or Vss

Hello Expert and Professional,

May I know is ground (GND) same as -V know as Vee or Vss?

From my observation some DC power supply have +V , -V and GND (ground). On the other hand, other DC power supply just have +V and -V.

These power supplies have (example) +12V, Gnd (0v) and -12v. This means it has +/- outputs which means one output is 12v above ground potential (0v) and the other 12v below ground potential (0v).
other DC power supply just have +V and -V
These are ones that have only +ve and gnd reference. eg. Just 12v output with -ve pin which is actually ground.
