TI recommends it, so I would use it. But most likely a resistor limiting the output current will work as well. The ADC itself would also represent a high ohmic load.
Can you show us a sketch of your measurement system? Are you using the ISO224 as isolation barrier between a high voltage and low...
Hi,
I agree with @KlausST do not short the output, especially here with a differential output. A unipolar supplied opamp with a differential output requires a common-mode output voltage. Here, this common-mode output voltage is provided by the ISO224 itself. So here you would short this mode...
Hi,
I'm repairing a power supply board and I have noticed that the housing of an NTC, used as a inrush current limiter, shows cracks. Although it seems to be still functional, I want to replace it as I have to order replacement parts anyhow. As the NTC has been glued to keep it in place I'm not...
Hi,
you have to estimate/simulate the expected preveailing temperature and keep it within the maximum operating temperature of the used PCB technology/material, see.

Hi,
as I suspected there is something going on with the reset IC (IC11 - PST259D), I ordered a replacement on Aliexpress. This solved the problem, the tuner is fully functional again.
Hope this repair is of use for someone else.

As you have mentioned quite high temperatures and a temperature measurement on the PXB (hot spot on the PCB), you should keep the glass transition temperature Tg and the maximum operating temperature MOT in mind. You have to select/produce your PCB accordingly, see here. But as pointed out by...
Hi,
please share the ENGLISH datasheet. It's not possible to copy the text out of the chinise one I linked in reply #2, so no change to translate it.
To me it looks like the intention of the NTC is to protect the cell i.e. against thermal run-away. So it should be placed in the vicinity of the...
Hi,
I still do not get how the described circuitry/setup might be damaged by an inductive flyback. The simulation below shows the actual volatges at different points along the inductive connection towards the cell, as I understood the charging circuitry. Here, the back-to-back MOSFETs are used...
Hi,
my XIAOMI vacuum cleaner robot complained since a while that it's left wheel got stuck although there was no obstacle. He even some kind jumped when I was able to observe this issue. Below a solution for my problem can be found.
First thing I tried was to clean the wheel and the related...
Hi,
how does your setup look like by means of actual layout and connection to the cell?
Which IC is actually used? The schematic shows the LGS4054 and in the text you mention the LGS4056.
How does the handling look like when a damage occures, is it "reproduceable"?
According to the...
I haven't experinced any damage which capacitors in the nF ranges as well, and I would consider 100 nF also as rather low. Neverthless, I have used diode "isolated" capacitors in the µF ranges a couple of times at the input of logic gates, to "store" and provide a high level (also without...
