hi
plz tell me how can i calculate the copolarazation and crosspolarization level of antenna,efficiency,3dB beamwidth etc. parameter of antenna in HFSS.

hi,

first set this
Fix Phi(Φ=0), Theta (θ) is varied from -180 degree to +180 degree
Fix Phi(Φ= 90), Theta (θ) is Varied from -180 degree to +180 degree
Fix Theta(θ=90) , Phi (Φ) is varied from -180 degree to +180 degree

then plot on a single graph selecting both E Phi(Φ=0) and Ethera (Φ= 90) for Co-polar and cross polar components.
from the Graph you can get 3dB bandwidth.

is this you wanted or any calculations?

Make sure that you know the orientation of your antenna and the preferred polarization of the radiated signal.

Co and cross polarization is often referenced to this direction.

If you want a detailed discussion of this subject run down a copy of:
"Polarization in Electromagnetic Systems" - Warren L. Stutzman

HFSS has efficiency calculations in the post processor.
Read their online help files for details.

I have always calculated 3 dB beamwidths from cartesian pattern plots where I plotted angle on the horizontal axis and gain on the vertical axis. It is trivial to extract the beamwidth at what ever level you happen to desire. Think of this as an un-wound polar plot.
